It’s random dream time, because It’s my blog and I can. I’ve named this one The Countdown, but it could just as easily be called “crazy scary apocalypse is coming doom doom DOOM.” Here is my quick doodling of what the hell happened.
So yeah, my friend the werewolf and I (and a few others) are being chased through the woods. The forest is on fire and filled with carnivorous monsters that kill everything they get their hands on and corrupt anything they don’t feel like eating. We were told about a safe place; a glade in the middle of the forest. One by one our friends are picked off. I can hear them screaming. The monsters are closing in, but we’re also almost to safety. The werewolf pushes me into the light, but doesn’t make it himself. He’s reduced to a pile of bones before I can even turn around. The only thing in the glade is a blue guy, a table, and a chair. The blue guy tells me to sit. Apparently the table and chair are magic and the source of the glade’s protection. The blue guy’s job is to warn me about the future. A burning clock ticks away at a countdown. The end is coming.
Like I said. Doom, doom, DOOM. I find apocalypse stories interesting. The destruction of a world is some pretty heavy stuff, full of conflict, and thus great for storytelling.
