As I may have mentioned, I’m trying to write a brand new novel during National Novel Writing Month. It’s eaten my days in the very best way. I have to reach at least 50,000 words by the month’s end. That’s over 1,500 words a day. So far it’s coming along nicely. I even reach my day’s goal early today, so I can think about other things for an hour before I go back and try to get ahead a little bit. While I have a few moments before a cloud of new ideas starts poking my brain, I wanted to post something. Anything. While I’m afraid to show my super-sketchy rough draft of a novel, I’m not afraid to show you what’s happened to me during the month thus far. It’s not pretty. 🙂
Note the permanent typey fingers, the sleep-deprived crazy eyes, the blob-like mushy feeling from not moving until each day’s goal is reached, and of course the paranoia that I will not make it to the end.
